An employee of a sub-subcontractor on a project at Buckley AFB in Aurora, Colorado, filed a breach of contract claim against the painting subcontractor. He claimed he had a contact directly with the subcontractor under which he would be paid the sub-subcontractor’s profit on the project. The subcontractor was represented by Karl Berg. After a two-day trial in the El Paso County District Court, the jury dispensed with the painter’s claim when it entered a verdict for the subcontractor after deliberating only 45 minutes.
